Your Siena Saints entered friday nights game two of the I87 cup down one game to none in the best of three series with rival Marist. After trailing early in the first and again halfway through the second period the Saints tied it up at 3 going into the final period. In an exciting back and forth third period neither team was able to score, forcing overtime. Halfway through the overtime period #25 Sam Hedlund scored on the power play firing the puck into the upper corner sealing the victory. Friday nights win not only evened the series but was also a special night as our two seniors Andrew Lee and Eli Curry were honored before the game. Battling back the Saints would score once in the second and fight hard to score again in the third to tie the game at 2 with just over a minute to play in the game. This time it would take the entire overtime before #18 Scott Banker found the back of the net with just .2 seconds to play completing the series win and with it the Saints are bringing the I87 cup back to Loudonville.
